Events Week
Throughout the year we run a range of one-off events. However, every year in term 2, we dedicate a whole week to put on events - this is called 'Events Week'. Many CU's across the country run their own Events Weeks so it is great to play our part in seeing students encounter Jesus on campus.
There have been some amazing stories shared over the years as a result of these events: people growing in confidence sharing the gospel, inviting their friends, having tricky but powerful conversations, and people hearing about and experiencing the love of Jesus!
We encourage a team of CU members to take the lead on organising, planning and running this incredible week. It is a massive team effort so we would love for you to get involved!
Below are some of our past themes and events:
2026 - "REAL"
the 2026 Events week was focused on the finding "REAL" Peace, Faith Hope ,Truth and Life. We explored topics of truth , purpose and love during all the events and talks and had an open Q&A regarding any questions pertaining to Christianity . On a Thursday followed up with a meal and a talk on Friday .A lot of books were given out as well as people reached and conversations had on campus . The support of the local churches be it in prayer or as one of our panelist helped us a lot during that week .

2025 - "Storms"
The 2025 Events Week theme was 'God in the storms of life'. We explored the topics of unworthiness, loneliness and anxiety with a Q&A panel on the Friday. These topics are ones we believe relate directly with this generation of university students in Huddersfield. All the events included food and a time for people to ask deeper questions about the topic and faith in general. Many good stories and conversations came out of this week and we look forward to seeing God's work in the next one!

2024 - "Help!"
The 2024 Events Week theme was 'Help'. We explored identity, truth, confidence and doubts which we believe are struggles at the forefront of today's society, especially in the University setting. These talks were accompanied by lots of fun, food, and games!
