Local Churches in Huddersfield
Being part of a church family is hugely important for Christians, especially when you're coming to University. CU is not a church, or a replacment for church so it's important to find a church to get involved with. There are many great churches of varying traditions and denominations in Huddersfield so we run a 'Church Search' in the first few weeks of term to help you find the right one.
We are blessed to have so many churches that are available to us and we know it can be very challenging to decide which church is best suited to you.
So, take a look at each Church below to see how they practice worship, and feel free to contact us via email with any further questions.

Holy Trinity Huddersfield
Church of England
Holy Trinity is a friendly Anglican church of all ages in Huddersfield. Our vision is to grow as disciples who are rooted in Christ, to be a devoted family with deep relationships with one another, and to be sent in love and power with the good news of Jesus wherever we go.
We have two services on a Sunday morning, a traditional 9am communion service with hymns on the organ, and a 10.45am service with band-led worship and groups for under 18s. We place a high priority in our services in worshipping God, diving into God’s word, and encountering the presence of God by the Holy Spirit. Refreshments are served between the two services from 10.15am, and it’s a great time to come and meet others from church. Throughout the week we also have lots of other groups and activities going on.
We really value having students as part of our church family. This is a place where you can form great friendships with all sorts of different people, learn more about God and how to follow him in your daily life, and have loads of opportunities to serve and grow in the gifts God has given you. Our students and young adults meet monthly for lunch in church after the 10.45am service, with other activities such as socials and Bible studies also taking place. We would love to welcome you to Huddersfield and to help you find your place in our church family!

Hope Church Huddersfield
Hope Church is a new church in town, as we only really began here in 2011. We are Reformed, and Baptist, but don’t worry if those are foreign words to you.
We believe that the Bible is fully reliable, that Jesus Christ is alive today and can be known, and we know that we have a message which is as serious as it is exciting for our Town and University.
We sing a mix of contemporary songs as well as older hymns, led by our musicians. We believe that when the Bible is proclaimed to us, we encounter the Living God.
For that reason, we’re eager to welcome not just Christians, but anyone else who wants to discover what Christianity is. We are very excited about supporting and having students as part of the body that is Hope Church. Should you choose to join us, we are keen to have you involved and serve the church and its local community as you grow in love for the Lord Jesus.
